Moulzoune pond

Moulzoune pond

About

This totally exotic site between conifers, beech trees and the pond, a salmon breeding reserve, exudes a little Canadian air and, at an altitude of 1385m, offers a pleasant combination of sunshine and coolness in summer and winter alike.

This is a superb hike that we recommend combining with a picnic outing on the banks of the Moulzoune pond. Above, the old talc mines have left their mark, with the ruins of miners' barracks. Once you've reached the ridgeline, you'll discover an extraordinary 360° panorama, with views of the Montségur pog, the high peaks of the Monts d'Olmes and Pic Saint Barthélémy.
